Development of German Retail


Two distinct trends determine the German market: Internationality and Multi-Channeling.
As a matter of fact, the best German shopping streets and malls get continuously more international due to the presence of international retailers, which have grown over-proportionally during the last years.
Since 2007, over 270 retail concepts were established in Germany – represented by own stores with large shop areas.
Abercrombie & Fitch, Primark, Forever 21, Decathlon and TK Maxx are only a few successful examples.
